#Writing4Kids: Cities And Stories : An Online Workshop by Shabnam Minwalla

Date: 16-May-2021 | Time: 11:00:00

INR 499/- PER PERSON (All inclusive)

What’s a story without a setting? Settings help stories come alive, and sometimes even become a character in the story. At #Writing4Kids, Khaki Kids’ 1st Anniversary Special workshop, children’s author Shabnam Minwalla will talk about the art of creating settings. Together, participants will discuss neighbourhoods and corners of Mumbai (or any other city that they know well) and build convincing settings for a range of stories - from humour to mystery to horror. Join in for a morning of creativity, conversation and fun writing.

Age Group: 9-14 years

Duration: 1.5 - 2hours

About the trainer

Shabnam Minwalla writes for newspapers, plays mother to three teenagers, devours murder mysteries and shops for sarees. But her absolutely, totally, completely favourite activities are writing books for children and seeking out ghosts, stories and bargains in her beloved Mumbai. Her popular books include `The Six Spellmakers of Dorabji Street’, `What Maya Saw’ and the laugh-a-minute Nimmi series. Her most recent book is ‘Colaba - The Diamond At The Tip Of Mumbai’.
