Just over a century ago, Anita Delgado, a beautiful Spanish dancer, caught the eye of the Maharaja of Kapurthala and married him. She left her homeland to live for 18 years in opulent luxury in the Himalayan foothills with Jagatjit Singh. After her marriage, Anita Delgado came to be known as Prem Kaur. The Princess of Kapurthala was a popular face and was present at  most important events at that time. At our online talk #DancerToPrincess, film producer Juan Antonio Casado will take us through her fascinating journey.

Juan Antonio Casado, the producer of Ishtar films and Pok Productions, is responsible for the production and management department of IBOLCA films. With a degree in English philology, Juan has garnered production experience in radio, TV and film. Some of his projects include: ‘The Chess Player’, ‘The Cosmonaut’, ‘Stones of David’ etc. He has been the technical adviser of the Spanish department of culture and liaison agent of the 2000 program of the European Commission. He is on the advisory board of the First Team Foundation, an international film training center.
