Mumbai’s Bhatia community may have come to the city from Kutch but their roots can be traced to Multan. At our Online Talk #Multan2Mumbai, historian Mangala B Purandare takes us through the history of the community from their home in Multan to subsequent migrations to Jaisalmer, Kutch, Punjab, Sindh, and eventually to Mumbai, Africa and across the world. She covers community legends, divisions, personalities, economic activities, institutions, socio-religious practices, contributions to the city and more.
